MSW-9 Molecular Stiletto

C-FH p. 43

Built to resemble a datapad stylus, the MSW-9 is light, inconspicuous, and easily overlooked by even the most zealous and dedicated search. Add to a character's Perception check when attempting to find a Molecular Stiletto on a person's body.

Due to their inherent fragility, any combat check made while wielding one of these blades that generates either or damages the weapon by one step as if struck by a weapon with the Sunder quality.

Ryyk Blade

HG-DC p. 48

The traditional melee weapon of the Wookiees.

The damage from the Superior quality is included in the profile.

Punch Dagger

S-FC p. 46

Add to a character’s Perception check made to find a Punch Dagger on a person’s body.

Vibrorapier

T-SM p. 46

Unlike other Vibroblades, which emit an audible hum, Vibrorapiers are completely silent, making them useful for those who rely on stealth to survive.

Blade-breaker

T-SM p. 46

Designed to be used in conjunction with a Vibrosword or other melee weapon, the Blade-breaker is typically a small, serrated vibroblade or pronged dagger capable of catching and possibly even breaking an opponent’s melee weapon.

Welding Rod

T-SM p. 47

A Welding Rod adds automatic to Mechanics checks to repair droids, vehicles, and starships.

The GM may spend on any check made with a Welding Rod to inflict a Critical Injury (p. 216) on the user.

About Two-Handed Melee

These weapons require two hands to wield, even if not specifically stated in their source books.

Gaffi Stick

p. 166

Gaffi Sticks are able to stab, cut, or club depending on how the user wields it.

Force Pike

p. 166

Force Pikes are one-meter long metallic staves topped with power-tips. One setting on the power-tip vibrates powerfully enough to shatter flesh, steel, and stone. The other setting provides an electric shock that can be set relatively low to prod or control, or high to cause excruciating pain or death.

When used with its Stun Setting, a Force Pike does not benefit from the Pierce 2 Quality.

Vibro-ax

p. 167

(see table)

"Peacekeeper" Stun Baton

BH-ND p. 48

(see table)

Ion Pike

BH-ND p. 48

Ion Pikes work only on droids and cyborgs, and only deal strain damage as per their Ion quality. They have no effect on organic beings beyond a brief and painful sting.

Huntsman Vibrospear

E-EtU p. 43

The ultrasonic vibrogenerator, special dampening fittings, and a coating of sound-absorbing polymers make the Huntsman completely silent when active.

Mk. VIII Vibrosaw

E-EtU p. 43

Loud and extremely challenging to use, the Mk. VIII is a heavy Vibrosaw that can cut through the toughest undergrowth or fell the tallest trees. They are heavy, awkward brutes that, in the hands of the inexperienced or inattentive, can cause more damage to the user than to the surrounding flora.

If the user generates when using the Mk. VIII as a weapon, they hit themself with the attack instead of their target (even if the attack would normally miss).

C9-GP Pulse Drill

E-EtU p. 42

The G9-CP is a handheld, low-powered, precision beamdrill designed for work in excavation and light duty mining. They appear as long, bulky rods with a tank at one end and a variable-angle plasma cutter at the other. The beam emitted by the C9-GP is a rapidly pulsing plasma beam around a millimeter thick with an adjustable range that allows it to cut through relatively thick material.

Model 7 Therm-ax

HG-DC p. 48

When activated, the Therm-ax blade quickly reaches temperatures in excess of 500 degrees. Even a glancing blow or near miss can ignite flammable materials, while a direct hit can incinerate flesh. Those wielding the weapon usually don heat-resistant garb, as their proximity to the blade can otherwise be quite unpleasant.

"Czerhander" VX Vibro-Greatsword

HG-DC p. 49

(see table)

Hand Grinder

T-SM p. 47

A Hand Grinder adds automatic , to crafting checks that involve shaping large pieces of hardened material.

ACTIVV1 Riot Shield

C-FH p. 42

Worn strapped to an officer's non-dominant forearm, a Riot Shield averages around a meter long and nearly as wide, providing almost complete cover for a kneeling or crouching officer. They are constructed from a variety of materials. The shields are typically shaped in such a way as to help deflect incoming thrown objects and stand up to sustained fire from nearly any sidearm, although anything more powerful than a heavy blaster makes short work of a Riot Shield and the officer behind it.

Riot Shields can be used as improvised, somewhat awkward melee weapons, allowing an officer to push and bash their way through a crowd if need be.

Riot Shields require one hand to wield, and so can only be used with Ranged (Light) and One-Handed Melee weapons.

Some Riot Shields incorporate a slot or mag-lock to allow the user to support a Ranged (Heavy) weapon with the shield itself (firing the weapon one-handed while wielding the riot shield in the other hand). A Riot Shield with this feature costs an additional 100 credits and has no hard points. Firing a rifle locked to the shield in this way is somewhat cumbersome, and adds to combat checks with both weapons.
